February 22, 2010 – Simplex Healthcare has named seasoned information technology executive Richard G. Fuqua as the company’s Chief Information Officer (CIO). A former executive at AIM Healthcare Services, Fuqua will assume the position at Simplex on March 1, 2010.
As CIO, Fuqua will be responsible for providing vision and leadership for Simplex’s information technology (IT) initiatives. Specifically, he will work to define and implement Simplex’s IT strategy and manage the achievement of overall performance objectives.

Simplex Healthcare, located in Franklin, TN, was established in September 2007 to provide assistance to patients with diabetes through home delivery of medical supplies. The company has experience rapid growth, helping more than 230,000 patients receive the necessarily supplies to manage their disease.
Prior to joining Simplex, Fuqua served as the Executive Vice-President and CIO of AIM Healthcare Services, a leading provider of healthcare cost management and data mining services in Franklin, TN. Through his leadership role at AIM, he managed several divisions, including Network Infrastructure, Data Transformation and Technology Engineering Units.
Before joining AIM, Fuqua served as Vice-President and CIO for Permanent General Assurance Company in Nashville. He managed Network Administration, Telecommunications and Application Development, among other divisions, at this industry leading high risk specialty insurance underwriter company.
In addition, Fuqua has served as Executive Vice-President and CIO for Investment Scorecard as well as Senior Vice-President and CIO for the Investment Services Division of First American National Bank in Nashville.

Fuqua received his Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from Middle Tennessee State University. Prior to his time at MTSU, he attended the United States Naval Academy. Fuqua was also a Certified Internal Auditor.
